If you're a Satanist or don't even believe in it...how do YOU define Satanism as a lifestyle? Religion? Label?

I live my life by the basic "rules" of satanism. I do believe I am my own god. I do believe I can make things happen. I remember when I read the satanic bible for the 1st time. I actually thought Anton LaVey wrote it specifically for me.

Personally I don't have a definition. I've researched many different religions and such, just not Satanism. I'd love to know more.......if for nothing other then knowledge. Knowledge is power!!

I don't claim any religion. On that note, I define Satanism as a belief in one's self as their god. Satan (devil) is a figure with whom they associate with. It is not about sacrificing life or hating others just because they are not Satanic. It is about putting yourself and your own (kids, pets, friends) before anyone else. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

You're right. I don't claim a religion either. I don't hide the fact that I associate myself with the occult and Satanism tho'. Satanism is about being your own god and not waiting for "fate" to create your world - you do it yourself how you want. Anyone who thinks that sacrificing life is merely a ritual of Satanism should read up on Catherine Deshayes who imployed CATHOLIC PRIESTS to help with abortions and "purification" rituals for sinning against the chruch by women having abortions. Granted some babies were sacrificed but we're talking first trimester fetuses not actual babies born.

if anything..I think that the christian religion has used sacrificing life for God more than Satanism...there are those who are completely insane that think by sacrificing something weaker than them they would appease satan and that is not how it works..

exactly... what I found is that a lot of the rumours and misconceptions about Satanism was brough on by the witch trials in Europe and in the US, they clumped everything together under "Satan" instead of looking at what the real situations were. The folklore is amazing and even amazing yet is that they got away with it.

I don't neccessarily hate the christian religion because I do believe in god (just not the same way as most xtians)...they have however been the cruelest of religions...in the name of God or Christ..

I don't like the hipocrisy in any religion or belief. I don't like it when christians rationalize and modify their systems. We (and I mean everyone) break atleast 1 of the 7 sins on a daily basis but most people wouldn't admit it.

sins are nothing than just something to make people go to church to confess or feel better about themselves. it's just another ploy to get people into a church.

that blows. my parents really never even made me go to church. my mom was raised with it, and my dad kinda was, but with me, they never really cared about me going. i usually was asked to go on easter and christmas, and i went just to please my grandparents because my pap's a bad ass. but now, i never go and everyone is fine with it. so fuck that fictional moral teacher called the bible.

My parents didn't make me go. Infact my mom threw the bibles away that were givin to her as a wedding gift. My dad hated church beacuse of how bad the riteous flock was too him. "Yeah Billy...you don't get to eat all day because you didn't clean the floor quick enough." Fuckin idiots...The cool thing is alot of these people are really old or probably dead now so ...ha ha ha ha ha
They lured me in by having the air hockey tables, pinball and the cocain laced chocolate chip cookies. Then the brainwashing came in. These people are fucking predators. See you in hell, you twisted fucks!!!

I still laugh about the reason why I stopped going to church. I was 14 and had gone every other weekend (thank you dad for our bi-weekly visitations..no church!), well these dumbshits actually tried to tell me that I was going to hell for listening to Bon Jovi...of all fucking groups that I was listening to! Needless to say, I will not make my child go to church. I always tell my parents that if they want her in church, then they can take her!
